How to get your Aichi Prefectural Library (愛知県図書館) account and use it on the website. You can search and put a hold on the website. You can borrow up to 6 books and 3 audio/visual items.

1. Go to Aichi Prefectural Library

*If you don't have a library card, you have to go to there and ask a librarian for a 「利用カード申込書」 (Riyou card moushikomisho) which means registration form. You also circle 「はい」 (Yes) next to 「インターネット用パスワードの発行を希望しますか」 (Do you need your internet password?) on top right. If you can't find it, please ask librarians. Don't foeget to bring your ID (For example: Alien Registration Card [外国人登録証] or Driver License [運転免許証]).
*If you already have a library card, go to there and request 「インターネット用パスワード申込書」 (Internet you password moushikomisho) which means web password application form and give it to a librarian. Refere to sample forms page.

 

2. Get your password

When you submit application form to librarian, you can get your temporary password.

3. Access the website

Access Aichi Prefectural Library website (English page).
1): At first, click [EDIT PROFILE].
2): Put your library card number and tentative passowrd.
3): Click [certification].

4. Change your password

The first thing you should do is change your password.
1): Click [change password].
2): Fill your new password.

​

5. Search books, CDs or DVDs.

Click [ONLINE CATALOG] fill out keywords and click [Search].

6. Choose and click what you want to borrow.

1): Click "Reservation" and you will find next page.
2): Enter your card No. and password and click [reservation] and [OK]. Done.

7. Pick them up

After you get a notification of their arrivial, go to the Library and pick them up.

8. Check on your account page

You can check your due date or status on [USER INFORMATION]. If you don't understand how to use, let's ask librarian.
